A call for people around the world to celebrate the creative process in its entirety – the imperfect, the unfinished, the works in progress.
Last month VSCO launched MAKE IT ANYWAY a call for people to celebrate their creative process in it's entirety; the messy bits, the parts where you feel close to giving up, the moments where you walk away for a little bit. Something about the 'make it anyway' mantra felt like the burning bush I'd been waiting to see. I LOVE this profile on Brooklyn artist Mónica Hernández, describing how the permission to procrastinate informs elements of the work that couldn't happen any other way.
So here's to taking to 'Making it anyway!', letting go of imaginary timelines and fretting about getting it right. Permission to procrastinate, to get it wrong, to take a break, and to come back.
